Imprisoned
Description
Imprisoned
The wind blows, it is free
Our life is a prison sentence
Held and led by the emotions
Tides of passions, ebbs of reality
Fraught with promises and dreams
Of liberation, concurrence and peace
Unable to blow freely everywhere
Feeling never the lesser
We whistle and hiss in our confines
Frequently escaping in illusion
To never-find the freedom outside
Not all the riches we can find there
Can match what we withhold within
The imprisoned self, the imperishable
Seeks not to find, but to know
That liberation, concurrence, peace
Is what it IS.
